Education
I have a First Class Honours degree in Electronic Engineering from Trinity College Dublin. I have an MA from Trinity College Dublin.
Neuromuscular Therapy
I worked in the Software Industry for several years before I decided that I needed a change of direction. I have been studying since 1998 to obtain the qualifications I have as a Therapist and due to the ever changing nature of this business I am continually improving my education. Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning Training I also use my Neuromuscular Therapy background to fix any postural issues which may arise during a weight training session for all my clients. For example, very often a client may have a lower back problem which is limiting their training session so that is identified and fixed to allow the session to continue.
Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Specialist
I am a Level 3 Poliquin Internationally Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I have been strength training for over 20 years.. BioSignature Modulation I am a Level 2 BioSignature Modulation practitioner. My own personal experience with BioSignature has been amazing. I have been training 6 days a week since I was 15 years old but could not shift the excess weight around my mid-section, that developed in my 20's, until I had my BioSignature done. Once my BioSignature Profile was determined I lost 4.8% body fat in 5 weeks!! For more information see the section on BioSignature. Sprint Training I have been involved in athletics for over 20 years now and I am a member of Clonliffe Harriers A.C. I run a High Performance group of Sprinters and Jumpers with AAI Level 3 Coach John Shields.
DCU HIGH PERFORMANCE ATHLETES
I currently strength train and look after the nutrition of the following high performance athletes in DCU. Brian Gregan, Christopher Russell, Craig Lynch, Dara Kervick, Barry Pender, Torlach Grant and Cian Christie. I am completely responsible for all nutrition (general diet, BioSignature Modulation and body fat reduction), strength training and periodization of strength training of most of these athletes. I provide weekly diet analysis where necessary and proper supplementation advice when required. I am present at most track sessions and ensure that every athlete is posturally aligned before they train. This has minimized the rate of injury incidence significantly.
